U.S. Visa Options for Marriage and Families

Bringing Families Together. Strengthening Futures.

At Thrive Family Immigration, we help families navigate the immigration process with clarity, compassion, and strategy. Whether you’re engaged, newly married, raising children across borders, or hoping to bring a parent or sibling to the United States, we guide you through every step, from the first petition to final visa approval.

U.S. immigration law offers several pathways for families to reunite or remain together. Some categories move quickly. Others involve long wait times and careful planning. We help you understand where your family fits, what to expect, and how to build the strongest possible case. We handle all major family‑based visa categories, including fiancé(e) visas, marriage‑based visas, parent petitions, and the full range of family preference categories.

K‑1 Fiancé(e) Visas

The K‑1 visa allows a U.S. citizen to bring their fiancé(e) to the United States for marriage. Once the visa is approved and your partner enters the U.S., you must marry within 90 days and then apply for permanent residence. We help with:

  • Proving a bona fide relationship
  • Preparing the I‑129F petition
  • Organizing evidence of in‑person meetings
  • Navigating the consular interview
  • Transitioning to a green card after marriage

K‑1 cases are relationship‑heavy and evidence‑sensitive. We help you present your story clearly and confidently.

Marriage‑Based Immigrant Visas (CR1, IR1, CR2, IR2)

Marriage‑based visas allow your spouse and children immigrate to the United States as permanent residents. We guide you through:

  • Determining whether your case is “conditional” (CR) or “immediate relative” (IR)
  • Preparing the I‑130 petition and supporting evidence
  • Consular processing or adjustment of status
  • Document collection and financial sponsorship
  • Interview preparation and post‑approval steps

If your family is abroad, we help you choose the right path and avoid unnecessary delays.

Visas for Parents of U.S. Citizens (IR5)

U.S. citizens age 21 or older may petition for their parents to become permanent residents. These cases do not have annual visa limits, but they do require careful documentation and clear proof of the parent‑child relationship. We assist with:

  • Preparing the I‑130 petition
  • Gathering birth records and secondary evidence
  • Navigating consular processing
  • Addressing name changes, missing documents, or complex histories

Parent petitions are often emotionally significant. We help make the process smooth and predictable.

Siblings and Other Family Members

These categories cover a wide range of family relationships and often involve longer wait times due to annual visa limits. We help you understand the Visa Bulletin, plan strategically, and keep your case moving. We handle petitions for:

  • Spouses and unmarried children of permanent residents (F2A, F2B)
  • Unmarried adult children of U.S. citizens (F1)
  • Married adult children of U.S. citizens (F3)
  • Siblings of U.S. citizens (F4)

We help with filing the I‑130 petition, tracking priority dates, understanding wait times and country‑specific backlog, preparing for consular processing when the visa becomes available.

Long‑term cases benefit from early planning and consistent guidance.
